About Us
Amy Vinther, MD
Dr. Amy Vinther’s academic foundation began at Stanford University, where her degree in Human Biology fueled her aspiration to pursue a career in medicine. This dedication led her to Dartmouth Medical School, where she met her husband and earned her M.D. It was during her time at Dartmouth that she was captivated by the immediacy and challenge of Emergency Medicine.
Following medical school graduation, she honed her skills in the demanding environment of UCLA / UCLA – Olive View residency program, after which she completed a Fellowship in Academic Emergency Medicine at Stanford Hospital. Treating a vast spectrum of acute medical and surgical emergencies, she developed a keen ability to handle high-pressure situations and make critical decisions under time constraints. Yet, amidst the urgency, she maintained a resolute focus on building rapport and connection with each patient.
Today, she leverages this well-rounded background and her love of medicine to serve her patients seeking a trusted partner in their healthcare journey.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Amy enjoys reading, weight training, cooking and knitting. Mostly, she loves spending time with her husband and four children.
